Spring League

The Spring League is moving along nicely with the improvements in the weather. Leading the pack at the moment are teams captained by Padraig Moylan, John Kelly, Darragh Claffey, Seamus Breen, John Dwyer and Gavin Young. The top teams will play in the final on March  24th so there is plenty of time to get some good scores in.

Sympathy

The members extend deepest sympathy to Lorna Doorley and her family on the death of her brother Michael Carroll in Dublin recently.

Sympathy is also extended to the family and golfing friends of Brendan Tanham who died recently in Clara. Brendan a very dedicated golfer was captain of Birr Golf Club in 1972 and worked tirelessly in promoting the club. Despite living in Clara, he never lost interest in the Glenns and visited us regularly. A gentleman in every way. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
