Birr Golf Club are currently recruiting for a Greenkeeper/General Operative on a fixed term contract from March to the end of September. The hours of work are 40 hrs per week.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Greenkeeping team who maintain the course to the highest standards of presentation and playability across all aspects of our golf course.

Responsibilities

Including but not limited to

• Work alongside greenkeepers and management in all aspects of course maintenance.
• Bunker raking and edging
• Assist with course set up
• All aspects of mowing operations
• Weeding, edging and tidying all areas of the course, clubhouse and car park.
• Machinery maintenance.

Requirements

• Full, clean driving license.
• Good organisational skills.
• Flexible with working hours.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Can work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
• Knowledge of the game of golf, the layout of Birr Golf Club and experience with machinery are an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to work weekends on a rotational basis.
