Scratch Cups

Both Senior and Junior Scratch Cups attracted a very large entry on Sunday. At the presentation that evening Vice-Captain Paschal Troy congratulated the senior winner Billy Donlon and Aaron Murtagh the junior winner. Paschal thanked in particular all who played and especially John Dwyer and his organisers. Billy in reply said he was thrilled to have won such a prestigious trophy. It was an honour and a pleasure to be numbered among such famous names as Padraig Harrington, Des Smith, Peter Lawrie, Richie Coughlan and so many others. He noted that 104 golfers coming from over 20 clubs played in the Scratch Cups.  It certainly was a very successful day.
