Senior Scratch Cup

In brilliant sunshine on Sunday our local player Gavin Young returned a massive score of 63 to destroy the Course record. It will take some time to dislodge Gavin from such an extraordinary perch It is a matter of great pride to see his  name  alongside such illustrious players  as JB Carr, Padraig Harrington, Des Smyth, Richie Coughlan and John Gilmartin.

Congratulations and thanks are also due to the organising Committee and John Dwyer who worked so hard to attract over a 100 golfers to the  venue.  Nice to see that the Birr Scratch Cup is back once more in a dominant position. Long may it continue.
