The Club AGM will take place on Sunday 29 November at 5pm. As the AGM is the one opportunity for members to discuss the progress of the Club it is important to attend and voice your opinions on the various reports and motions on the agenda. Please put the date and time in your diary.

Ladies

Ladies AGM
A well-attended AGM of the Ladies’ Club was held on Sunday last. Members listened to the secretary give comprehensive reports on the club’s finances, Junior Golf, competitions and handicaps, as well as a detailed summary of the golfing affairs of the Ladies Club in 2015. The committee for 2016 was elected and out-going Lady Captain Pauline, officers and committee were commended on the work done over the past year. Lady Captain Pauline stated that it had been an honour to serve as lady captain and expressed her thanks to numerous people for their help and support. Lady President Agnes Doolan will continue in her role for another year and together with out-going Lady Captain Pauline welcomed our new Lady Captain Margaret Feehan, wishing her the very best in 2016.
A number of presentations were made on the night. The Silver Spoon, Medals and GOY Trophy were awarded to a mother and daughter, Bernie and Laura Nugent, both of whom were congratulated on a very  successful year on the golf course. 
Bernie Nugent won the Silver Spoon and Bronze medal and her daughter Laura Nugent won the Silver medal and the GOY Trophy.
The winners of the ring competitions were as follows:
Category 0-18. Shauna Carroll.
Category 19- 28. Theresa Fealy.
Winner of the Birdie Competition was Ann B. Kenny.

 

Christmas Fare

Nigel and his staff are now taking bookings for Christmas dinners and functions. A four-course menu with mulled wine will be provided. Music will have us rocking round the Christmas tree. Ring 057 912 0082 for bookings.

 

Sympathy

The members extend deepest sympathy to Tom and Dennis Duffy and their families on the death of their sister Mary Duffy in Rathcabbin at the weekend.
