Due to the huge success of last year’s Poker Classic, Vice-Captain Joe Slevin and his committee have decided to run another one on Fri. 5 November at 8.30 pm. So all you card sharks please put the date in your diary. You certainly will be guaranteed a super night’s entertainment in The Glenns.

MINI CLASSIC

The organisers of the Bank Holiday mini classic are most appreciative of the very large number of members and visitors who took time out to play. At a time when finances in all walks of life are pretty tight it was most gratifying to see such support for the club. At the presentations Captains Bernard and Kathleen thanked all who played and helped to run the event.

GOLFER OF THE YEAR

Congratulations to Jerome Molloy on winning Golfer of the Year trophy. Jerome, a staunch supporter of all competitions, well deserves the honour.

CLUB TROPHIES

This Sunday the traditional longstanding trophies are the main items on the agenda.

In the Kenny Cup Bian Nolan plays Pat Doyle. In the Hackett John Connell plays John Dwyer and in the Loughnane Gavin Young plays Paul Daly. The Championship will take place over Saturday and Sunday over 18 h Stroke
