Captains’ and Presidents’ Drive In
Captains Seamus and Vera together with Presidents Sean and Mary were delighted with the large turnout of members and friends for the traditional drive in on Sunday last. Fortunately the weather was very favourable and despite so much rain of late the course was in great shape, thanks to the hard working staff who had everything in top order. At the presentation Captain Seamas thanked all and noted that the large turnout augurs well for the forthcoming golfing season.
He announced that a tree had been planted on the 18th fairway to commemorate all our members who had passed away over the years. He also thanked the many members who had sponsored the trees on the 4th mentioning in particular the professional advice of Martin Hynes which was much appreciated.
He asked members to support the Fantasy Cheltenham and in particular the Bridge game on Sunday and the Table Quiz on Thurs. 8 March.
