The Mens AGM took place on Thursday 17th November and was well attended. Outgoing captain Joe Slevin introduced Seamus Breen as incoming captain. Secretary Mick Ashe introduced Sean Moylan as president. We wish the officers and the committee the best for the coming year.

Poker Classic
All poker enthusiasts are encouraged to support the Poker Classic to be held in the Golf Club on Friday, 2 December. Tickets are available from the committee or available on the door on the night. This is always a well supported night and an enjoyable one. Please encourage or invite your friends to this fundraising night in the Glenns. Tickets just €20.

Hole in one
Congratulations to Michael Liffey who scored a hole-in-one at the 3rd last Tuesday. After playing golf for 43 years, it’s a major milestone in a golfing career. Well done, Michael.
Ladies’ golf
Ladies Annual General Meeting. The Ladies AGM took place on Friday, 18 Nov. at 8 pm. with a large attendance on the night. The following ladies were elected to committee for 2012. Lady Captain Vera Smyth, Lady President Mary Grennan, Vice Captain Susan Reidy, Hon Secretary Georgina Chambers, Hon Treasurer Elizabeth Pardy, Competition Secretary Mary Byrne, Handicap Secretary Agnes Doolan. Committee members Rita Delaney, Gemma Butler, Evelyn Lynch, Christine Bruce, Margaret Feehan and Colette O’Brien. Congratulations to all the above ladies and we wish them well in their respective roles for 2012.
