Birr Golf Club Development Classic

On Saturday 30^th July, Sunday 31^st July and Monday 1^st August we are holding our 7^th Annual Development Classic.

Club Classic

Our Annual Club Classic takes place on July 30/31 and on Monday 1 August. As this is our main fund-raising competition during the year, members are asked to help out in every way possible by entering teams, sponsoring tees or holes or contributing prizes.

Intermediate Scratch Cup

This weekend we have the Corrib Oil sponsored Intermediate Cup. A timesheet will be in operation  and members are asked to adhere to the times selected. Also on Friday the very popular Drumcullen GAA classic takes place.

Rory McIlroy

What a weekend to be alive and be a fan of golf. Four days of breath taking golf and at the end another Irishman capturing one of the most coveted trophies on the circuit. Great credit to Rory and also to the Golfing Union of Ireland for providing such excellent training

President’s Prize

President Tony McTague’s prize, sponsored by Brendan O’Carroll of Premier Insulations, was held over the weekend. Conditions were ideal on Saturday when excellent scores were returned. Unfortunately the weather turned nasty on Sunday but this did not deter many hardy
